The 'Shipwreck' scene decorating Thebe Magugu's midi dress references mythological mermaids, who are "often blamed for luring sailors and their ships to wreck in the Cape". Made from tonal-orange and blue panels of poplin, it has a wrap design with bell sleeves and ties to cinch and secure the waist.
