Which element of your job do you enjoy the most: Doctor, podcast presenter, media mogul?!
I can’t choose, I love my job because I get to do all of the above but I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for my love for medicine.
How do you achieve the elusive balance between body-mind-spirit?
It’s very difficult to achieve absolute balance, but I do believe that we often strive for physical health; to the detriment of our mental or emotional health. Listen, you don’t have to do it all, and if you’re stressing about doing it all in the name of #balance, it’s not worth sacrificing your mental health.
You advocate a balanced diet, but are there any foods that should be off limits?
Actually, I’m going to go as far as saying that there is no such thing as healthy and unhealthy foods. For example, many people would say an apple is healthier than cake, and nutritionally yes it may be, but in the context of a balanced diet, a piece of cake is perfectly acceptable and healthy.
What is your workout style?
Quick and sweaty - either at home or at CrossFit.
