ELECTRIC 80s

The season’s Eighties edge comes through in tones like fluorescent fuchsia, bold cobalts and lipstick reds. All color-blocked into an ‘80s dream scene, of course. Vikki’s tips for pulling off bold color? ‘Tailored shapes and classic cuts like a trouser suit keep the look grown-up and chic. And of course, this trend features strong shoulders, a key part of the 1980s aesthetic. My own personal favorite piece is Iris & Ink’s Esmee blazer.’

BEAR NECESSITIES

The teddy coat is big news. There’s the odd shot of color, but mainly, they come in a palette of natural tones from the palest biscuit to the deepest bear brown. There are tactile textures galore — shaggy, velvety, lush and dense, curly faux shearling... ‘There’s a coat for every taste and body type,’ says Vikki. ‘I love them for their versatility — wear one over a formal outfit to add a touch of cool or throw it on with jeans at the weekend.’

This is the dress that will get you through fall and long into winter.

And, it’s a timeless choice for winter, carved into some truly exquisite coats. There are infinite options in sharp black and chic grey, but which are Vikki’s favorites? ‘Fendi’s leather coat, Valentino’s Matrix-inspired trench, and Erdem’s glossy mackintosh.’ Yes, please…
