Welcome to Fashion Fix at THE OUTNET, our IGTV styling series where we answer your fashion dilemmas.
We asked our male shoppers to share their burning style questions – and were inundated with queries about how to master casualwear this season and beyond. What do you need to nail a well-styled, but relaxed look? As the co-host of popular YouTube TV styling and fashion show PAQ, model and presenter Danny Lomas is well placed to address this sartorial issue. He shares his expert tips about dressing down in a relaxed, contemporary and distinctive way – from the versatile trainer every man needs to the trousers that nail casual cool.
If you have a styling dilemma, send your question to our team via Instagram and we hope to answer it in our future episodes.

“Starting off, we have an Acne jumper, quite a chunky knit – very nice and textured, very warm and cosy, and girlfriends love to borrow them. Moving down, we have some Sandro jeans in a light wash, which keeps it relaxed and cool. They sit nicely with a pair of Adidas Superstars which are an essential in any wardrobe.”

“This is quite a Northern Soul-inspired look. With casualwear, it doesn’t have to be super baggy and all about denim, so what I’ve gone for is a pair of trousers – these are by Sandro. They’re very relaxed, casual and comfortable, yet still smart with the crease pressed into them. I’m a massive sucker for a track jacket, so I’ve gone for this little Sandro number – I love the detail on the collar. It all pulls in nicely with a pair of Adidas Campus trainers, one of my favorites. They’re just timeless, slick and go with anything.”

“This look is a bit smarter. We have a Belstaff Trialmaster jacket; this one is a bit more relaxed, in a cotton fabric rather than a waxy or leather finish. Moving down, we have a pair of James Perse trousers in an almost Hessian material. They’re light, flowy, airy and perfect for summer – you can dress them up or down accordingly. And onto shoes, I’ve chosen a pair of loafers – these ones are quite chunky, so it’s not as if they’re the super-smart ones you’d wear with a suit or a tux.”
