THE WEEKEND DIARIES
Melbourne. Home to some of Australia’s best bay beaches, endless supply of street art, well-dressed people and model Adual Akol. “I’m not a native Melburnian. I was born in Kenya and moved to Melbourne when I was 7.” She’s proud to call the cultural and stylish capital her home and loves spending her off-duty model time there. Whether she’s binge-watching TV at home in her comfiest hoodies, taking a stroll in her go-to crop tops or stepping into her favorite bar on Chapel Street wearing her best dress, she adores what her city has to offer. There is so much to do, see and style that inspires her, and here she tells us everything…
What do I love about Melbourne...
“There’s a lot I love about Melbourne, mostly the uniqueness in everyone’s style and secondly the art and music scene. There’s a lot of upcoming talented creators in Melbourne at the moment and I can’t wait for the rest of the world to catch up.”
My style…
“I would say my style is mostly Melbournian, I love the all-black style.”
Favorite areas…
“My favorite bar would be two wrongs on Chapel Street.”
My hobbies…
“I’ve been painting for the past 8 years as a hobby; I’m currently studying it in university, so I spend a lot of time doing it outside of modelling.”
What do you do to relax…
“I love to binge watch my favorite TV series or take a relaxing bath.”
“As a true Aquarius, I feel like a little routine can go a long way. I love a balance in everything. Some days can be relaxing and some full of activities, a balance is needed to avoid feeling overwhelmed.”
To relax indoors…
“Hoodies and tracksuits.”
What to wear to elevate the look…
“A short black dress with kitten heels and an off-shoulder designer handbag.”
